Enjoy the precision of small-component soldering and the variety of new builds?
EVONA is supporting an established RF and microwave manufacturer seeking an Electronics Assembler for its Engineering team.
Approximately 67–75% of the work involves prototype assembly. You’ll help engineers turn designs into working hardware, supporting products used in defense, aerospace, unmanned systems and satellite communications.
What your day could involve
- Building electronic assemblies and RF modules from drawings and work instructions.
- Soldering small SMT components under a microscope, including 0402 parts.
- Replacing components and reworking boards following engineering changes.
- Assembling wiring, cables, harnesses, heatsinks, fans and enclosures.
- Inspecting your work for solder quality, correct orientation and build accuracy.
- Flagging assembly problems and helping the team implement corrections.
The experience we’re looking for
- Hands-on electronics assembly and precision soldering.
- Confidence working with small surface-mount components under a microscope.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and identify component polarity.
- Experience using soldering equipment, hand tools and measuring tools.
- Familiarity with electronics quality standards such as IPC-A-610.
- High school diploma or GED.
Ideally, you’ll have 3–5 years of relevant experience. Prototype builds, PCB rework and circuit modifications would strengthen your application. IPC certification is helpful, but not required.
What makes this role worth a look
- Close collaboration with engineers on new hardware.
- A substantial focus on prototypes and varied assembly challenges.
- An established specialist business within a wider communications group.
- Paid holidays, vacation and personal/sick time.
- Medical, dental, vision and life insurance options.
- Employee Assistance Program.
- $4,000 Health Reimbursement Arrangement.
- 401(k) with company match.
A practical soldering demonstration gives you the opportunity to show your hands‑on skills.
