Communications Assistant

Communications Assistant – part‑time role at Center for Hope & Safety, Rochelle Park, NJ (hybrid, on‑site attendance required).

In this part‑time position (three full days per week), you will coordinate our communications program and support related tasks as needed.

• Work with the Chief Development and Communications Officer to coordinate a cohesive communications program and calendar, including email blasts and social media.
• Update and maintain the organization’s website.
• Create flyers, short video content, event materials (poster boards, registration sheets, etc.) and other promotional materials, utilizing Canva.
• Coordinate special projects as needed.

• Associate’s degree required;
  Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Excellent written communication skills required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; familiarity with Constant Contact or another email‑marketing program preferred. Experience with Word Press and Little Green Light a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must attend weekly staff meetings in Rochelle Park and work during normal business hours.
• Must be able to work events outside of normal business hours, currently four times per year.
