Volunteer Bookkeeper​/Finance Support

Overview

We Are Loved is a nonprofit dedicated to bringing comfort, joy, and stability to children in foster care through programs like Love Bags, Birthday Boxes, Holiday Boxes, and the LUV Program. We are seeking a volunteer with bookkeeping and finance knowledge to support our operations.

Location:

Shrewsbury, NJ (hybrid option available). Time Commitment: 4–6 hours per month (flexible).

• Record and categorize transactions in Quick Books

• Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements.
• Assist with tracking donations, grants, and restricted funds.
• Generate basic monthly financial reports for leadership and the board.
• Maintain organized digital records of receipts and invoices.
• Support budget preparation for programs and fundraising events.
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.

• Experience with Quick Books (required).
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Familiarity with nonprofit finance preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
• A finance, accounting, or business student seeking hands-on experience is encouraged to apply.
