Overview

Serenity Hospice Care has locations all over NJ, in facilities and in their homes. Some locations are Tinton Falls, Brick, Freehold, Newark, Lakewood, Toms River, East Orange, Hammonton, Galloway and others.

We need volunteers to give companionship, read, watch TV, talk, listen, it all makes a difference. We work around your schedule and location preferences. You do not need any experience; we will teach you everything you need to know. If you have special talents such as pet therapy, music, art, knitting, that is always appreciated as well.

The volunteer experience is rewarding for both you and the patient. Bring a smile or a moment of peace to a patient in need. We reimburse you for all travel time. No amount of time is too little — any contribution helps.

There are two types of volunteers for Serenity Hospice Care:

• Administrative Volunteers — Various office duties including filing, phone work, supply organization, etc. (Located at 56 Georgetown Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505)
• Direct Patient Volunteers — Visit patients in facilities throughout NJ, offering companionship by listening, talking, reading, or watching TV. Special talents (pet therapy, music, art, knitting) are greatly appreciated as well. Travel time is reimbursed.

Our volunteers are part of our family. We will support you every step of the way to help you be happy and successful. Volunteer opportunities include training and ongoing support.
