Imagine, A Center for Coping with Loss, is a free, year-round, trauma-informed children's grief support center based in Mountainside, New Jersey, serving Union County and beyond. The organization provides peer-led grief support for children, teens, and young adults ages 3-30, as well as their parents, guardians, and caregivers. Additionally, Imagine supports families experiencing the challenges of a life‑altering illness in the family.
Combining peer support groups, education, physical play, and other activities, Imagine fosters resilience, healing, and growth in the face of loss. The organization also educates communities, schools, and workplaces to create supportive environments, ensuring that no child grieves alone.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Donor Engagement and Stewardship Manager located in Mountainside, NJ. In this role, you will lead efforts to cultivate relationships and manage donor stewardship, ensuring that donors are engaged and supported. Responsibilities include developing donor strategies, maintaining donor databases planning and executing fundraising events, and preparing reports to communicate fundraising impact. Collaborative work with team members to create fundraising campaigns and develop community partnerships will also be key components of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in donor relationship management, engagement, and stewardship
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including event planning and coordination
- Experience with donor databases and CRM platforms
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and nurture relationships
- Capability in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and reporting
- Understanding of nonprofit fundraising and community engagement
- Bachelor's degree, with coursework or experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, or a related area preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
- Passion for supporting children, families, and communities coping with loss
