Job Summary The Bilingual Health and Wellness Educator will be responsible for delivery of health and wellness programs throughout Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem counties, translation of materials, and interpretation when needed. The Educator will teach health and wellness classes in English and another language. Classes are taught during the day, evenings, and weekends and may be either remote or in-person.

Availability is required during the day, two evenings per week, and one Saturday per month. The Bilingual Health and Wellness Educator will be supervised by the Health and Wellness Senior Manager.

This position requires fluency in English and another language. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Deliver health and wellness programs in both English and another language using provided curriculum
• Teach classes and demonstrations virtually, hybrid, or in-person at sites throughout Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Salem Counties; sites may include schools, faith-based organizations, correctional institutions, and social service providers
• Instruct adult and youth learners using a trauma-informed and empathetic approach
• Create a safe and welcoming space for people with diverse or difficult backgrounds; may include individuals who are justice involved, neurodivergent, or living with limited mobility
• Administer electronic or paper surveys and waivers to participants at each class and demonstration
• Set up prior to the start of class or demonstration and clean-up after completion
• Translate FBSJ documents or education materials as needed
• Transport food, cooking equipment, and educational materials between Food Bank of South Jersey in Pennsauken and class sites
