Registered Nurse - Emergency Department - Full Time/Shift 2 (11a - 11p)
Penn Medicine Princeton Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department in Plainsboro, NJ. This is a full‑time 11:00 am – 11:00 pm shift opportunity. The ideal candidate will be available to work 11a‑11p; 36 hours per week, 2 weekends per month and rotating holidays.
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will be responsible for treating patients with any medical problems that cannot wait to be seen by their regular doctor, as well as severe and life‑threatening illnesses and injuries. You will establish a therapeutic relationship and develop an individualized plan of care for each patient, communicate that plan to collaborative partners, and coordinate care throughout the patient’s stay.
You will deliver a wide range of acute care services, including but not limited to foley insertions, chest tube and central line placement, cardiac arrest management, blood transfusions, medication administration, orthopaedic splinting, laceration repair, pre‑operative preparation, STEMI care, therapeutic hypothermia, and intravenous therapy.
- Active NJ Registered Nurse License (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification (Required)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;
Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) – required or in pursuit
- Minimum of 15 months recent nursing experience – required
- Nurse‑to‑patient ratio – 1:4
- ED technicians support care in the ED
- Locked behavioural health unit within the ED
- Excellent working conditions

- Medications scanned into the EMR promote safe medication delivery
- IV medications delivered via pump are verified in the EMR
