Job Responsibilities- Oversees and provides educational support for the Peri-Operative areas.
- Coordinates new employee orientation.
- Develops clinical orientation pathways and timelines.
- Mentors and monitors the progress of new and existing employees, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintains documentation of education records, including competencies, progress, and goal setting.
- Provides ongoing development and continuing education.
- Fosters inclusivity through a multi-disciplinary approach.
- Completes introductory evaluations promptly.
- Adheres to policies and procedures, serving as a resource for team members.
- Participates in local and system-wide education initiatives, peri-op fellowship programs, and policy development following AORN standards.
- BSN required
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification required
- Valid New Jersey Nursing License
- Minimum 5 years of current OR clinical experience
- Master's Degree (preferred)
- Experience in OR Education (strongly preferred)
