Assistant Nurse Manager - Intensive Treatment Unit - Nights

About This Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring quality care by managing and leading the staff in alignment with the plan of care and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a nursing professional with leadership experience and a commitment to patient safety and staff development.

• Location: Belle Mead, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Manage and lead nursing staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Assume administrative and clinical responsibility in the absence of senior leadership.
• Monitor and assure patient care is provided in a safe environment.
• Act as liaison with Access staff regarding admissions and EMTALA compliance.
• Direct and coordinate interventions during emergency situations.
• Supervise nursing staff during respective shifts.
• Conduct chart reviews and audits for compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and investigate environmental and safety hazards.
• Resolve conflicts with patients, families, and staff diplomatically.
• Mentor and coach staff regarding performance and professional growth.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years psychiatric experience, 1 year in a leadership capacity

  • Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
  • Valid Driver's License from a USA state
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification within 90 days of entering position
  • Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification preferred
  • IV Therapy certification preferred
