Adult Ed Veterinary Assisting Instructor

Position Summary

Burlington County Institute of Technology Adult Education is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as an hourly Veterinary Assisting Instructor. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of veterinary terminology and clinical techniques, a passion for animal care, and an entrepreneurial spirit. The instructor must be able to effectively guide adult learners through foundational and practical veterinary assisting skills while promoting animal health, safety, and industry standards.

Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the veterinary field.
• Must meet NJ State requirements for Veterinary Assisting Instruction.
• Demonstrated expertise in veterinary terminology, patient care, and clinical techniques.
• A strong love of animals and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to work effectively with adult learners and share practical industry knowledge.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Hourly Rate: $40.30

• Must pass a criminal history background check.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required.
• Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire.
• Drug testing required.
