The purpose of this position is to facilitate adherence to quality processes throughout the PDC under the direction of MPA SCM Quality, Packaging, SC Strategy and matrix management support from the local PDC Manager. This will aid the continuous improvement of quality of services and product packaging to reduce/eliminate quality incidents at the PDC. This will support improvement of productivity, accuracy and improve both internal and external customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate claims process and coordinate with the Manager Outbound Quality/Packaging, Sr. Packaging Engineer and local PDC management.
- Dealer Damage, Shortage & Wrong Part/Other Claims processing, review and investigate, contact dealers to validate & collect information, confirm claim validity with due diligence checklist, make final disposition on claim, and assign claim liability. (25%).
- Conduct weekly DDS damage parts inspections and distribution documentation (10%).
- Various outbound quality audits to include, adherence to parts overpack SOPs, outbound load conditions, coordinate processors quality performance, PDA 307, and dealer order audits (15%).
- Participate in weekly network wide part compliance specialists meetings to review KPIs and discuss countermeasures for outbound quality improvement (5%).
- Participate in root cause, corrective action, preventative action plan development/countermeasures, and maintain PDC Dealer Claims Reduction TFT Smartsheet (10%).
- Attend weekly DDS Carrier performance meetings to review carrier claim performance, high claim routes and dealers and discuss carrier countermeasures for improvement (5%).
- Evaluate packaging of parts as supplied by the vendors, partner with HQ packaging engineer to recommend supplier packaging improvements (10%).
- Partner with HQ packaging engineer to improve PDC overpacks for supplier parts with insufficient packaging (10%).
- Address Parts Help Desk dealer portal incidents as necessary (10%).
- Monitor Master Daily Dealer Claim’s summary report to ensure PDC is meeting targets for claims.
- Ensure timeliness of dealer claims resolution.
- Resolve/identify quality issues, coordinate corrective actions with the other PDCs and the appropriate Headquarters personnel.
- Investigate packaging failures and recommend appropriate changes in PDC overpack methods. Work with vendors and HQ packaging engineer.
- Assist Parts Help Desk and Quality Parts Technical to resolve dealer parts inspection/overpack requests.
- Prepare reports on audit activity, vendor packaging compliance, etc. as directed by MPA SCM Quality, Packaging, SC Strategy.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma is preferred but not required.
- 4-6 years of operations experience in Warehousing/Distribution – Operations-Distribution General.
- Basic background in customer service, freight handling procedures, shipping, packaging requirements, and other basic quality management skills.
- Basic computer skills including e‑mail, word processing, excel spreadsheets, graphics.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
