The Quality Inspector carries out the day‑to‑day inspection and auditing of processes for the manufacturing/supplier quality effort in support of the engineering and quality organizations. The Quality Inspector should have very detailed knowledge of the manufactured products to ensure that the products meet requirements using quality tools and guidelines. The inspector shall inspect and verify product and process quality, ensuring it meets standards before reaching the consumer.
Responsibilities- Reading blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.
- Approving or rejecting products with respect to quality standards and recording performance.
- Measuring dimensions using inspection equipment and documenting results.
- Selecting output samples and checking them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.).
- Using automated systems to perform complex testing procedures.
- Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well‑maintained.
- Preparing and submitting reports to the Director of Quality.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Experience as a quality inspector or relevant role.
- Familiarity with quality inspection equipment, machines, and systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing.
- Must be proficient at reading engineering drawings.
- Ability to read and comprehend inspection procedures.
- Keen eye for detail and a results‑driven approach.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
- Use of Microsoft Computer Applications (Word and Excel).
- Understand dimensions and tolerance (GD&T strongly preferred).
- Needs to work on location (Moorestown, NJ) at all times.
- Ability to communicate verbally and through writing in English is preferred.
