Pay: $18.60 per hour

Work Schedule: Intermittent (0-19 hours/week)

Location: MWR Harborview Bar

Duties
  • The purpose of this position is to mix and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages.
  • Prepare a variety of drinks using premix, garnish and proper technique; serve patrons directly or to wait staff.
  • Receive payments, operate the cash register and give/change; may be required to document cash funds accountability.
  • Set up and maintain the bar; keep the bar presentable and sanitary; ensure adequate stock levels and keep storage areas clean.
  • Wash bar equipment, glassware and utensils following proper sanitation procedures; assist higher‑level bartender as needed.
  • Complete required alcohol‑service training before starting; complete annual local refresher training and document it.
  • Identify intoxicated or unruly patrons, resolve the situation or seek assistance per procedure.
  • Adhere to safety regulations, use required safety equipment, report hazards, injuries or property damage to a supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale; bartender training school may substitute.
  • Experience recognizing and resolving issues with intoxicated or unruly patrons.
  • Experience following proper cash handling procedures.
  • Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk for long periods; lift 5–10 lb routinely, 10–20 lb frequently, occasional lifts up to 40 lb.
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
