About the Role:

Paris Baguette Rockaway is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to help lead our bakery and café team in Rockaway, NJ. Responsibilities:

Support the Store Manager in daily bakery and café operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences
Oversee food quality, presentation, and freshness standards across all bakery and café products
Assist with scheduling, staffing, and workforce management
Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and minimize waste
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and conflict resolution professionally
Drive sales performance and assist in meeting store revenue goals

Requirements:

1-3 years of supervisory or management experience in a bakery, café, or food service environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices (Serv Safe certification is required)
Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Passion for baked goods, café culture, and delivering a premium guest experience
