Job OverviewStep into the driver’s seat of our customer experience. As a Beverage Route Sales Specialist with Farmer Brothers, you’ll provide route relief, deliver exceptional service, and keep our customers’ coffee and tea programs stocked, clean, and on standard. When you’re on a route, you’re the face of our brand—ensuring every stop is in-stock, scheduled service is completed, and the beverage station looks and performs exactly as it should.
ADay in the Life
- Deliver, replenish, and rotate coffee, tea, and related products at each assigned stop.
- Keep equipment clean and operational, completing at least one daily CQC (Cup Quality Check).
- Address customer needs and quickly escalate issues to the Area Sales Manager (ASM) to protect satisfaction and loyalty.
- Follow the daily service schedule so every customer receives the delivery and service promised.
- Handle invoices, manage inventory, and collect payments while on route.
- Grow Revenue per Stop by fixing distribution voids on core items, activating seasonal/LTO promotions, applying pricing actions, and ensuring beverage stations meet standards.
- Flag inefficiencies, opportunities, or dissatisfaction to the ASM during route relief.
- Support the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse tasks, and customer-focused projects.
- Learn brewing equipment basics and perform minor adjustments or repairs.
- Use the Farmer Brothers customer call process (The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell) and make sales calls when time allows.
- Pitch in as needed with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service.
- Typical schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; overtime as needed. - Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Route delivery experience (a plus).
- Customer service background (preferred).
- Food service industry experience (desired).
- Clean, strong driving record.
- Mechanical aptitude with company hardware/software.
- Keen at understanding customer needs; active listener and clear communicator.
- Aligned with business goals; uses solid judgment and makes sound decisions.
- Identifies issues and opportunities proactively; works independently with minimal supervision.
- Builds rapport and collaborative relationships with customers and teammates.
- Proactive mindset; seeks growth opportunities for the business.

The base salary range for this role is established by the company and may vary based on experience and qualifications. We apply location-based pay adjustments to reflect cost‑of‑living differences. Team members in higher‑cost markets may receive a geographic premium informed by market data and local economic factors.
