Seasonal Marine Field Worker – Rutgers University
Base pay range$15.49/hr – $16.49/hr
Position OverviewRutgers University, School of Environmental & Biological Sciences, seeks a Seasonal Marine Field Worker for the Haskin Shellfish Research Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in spawning of bivalve mollusks.
- Handle the rearing of larvae and post-set juveniles.
- Maintain hatchery larval tanks, downweller tanks, nursery upweller raceways, and related equipment.
- High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific/technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician or research experience (preferred).
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and work in outdoor conditions.
