Rutgers University, School of Environmental & Biological Sciences, seeks a Seasonal Marine Field Worker for the Haskin Shellfish Research Laboratory.

• Assist in spawning of bivalve mollusks.
• Handle the rearing of larvae and post-set juveniles.
• Maintain hatchery larval tanks, downweller tanks, nursery upweller raceways, and related equipment.

• High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in scientific/technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant laboratory technician or research experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work in outdoor conditions.

Temporary staff appointment – hourly. Fully on-site work arrangement. Weekly hours: 40.
