Position

Purpose:

This role delivers specialized transportation and disposal services, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and Veolia safety regulations. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material.

• Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
• Manifest, package, and clean up spills; perform remedial activities, labeling, and loading/unloading.
• Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions.
• Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (DOT/EPA/VES‑TS).
• Familiarize yourself with DOT, EPA, and VES‑TS regulations related to hazardous waste paperwork.
• Operate and maintain all equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.

• Strong team player.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Time‑management: ability to organize multiple deadlines.
• Strong customer‑service orientation.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to follow through on assignments.

• 40‑hour HAZWOPER Certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous (H) endorsement.

Minimum $23.00 – Maximum $25.00 per hour.
