Position
Purpose:
This role delivers specialized transportation and disposal services, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and Veolia safety regulations. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material.
- Sample waste streams according to prescribed policies and procedures.
- Manifest, package, and clean up spills; perform remedial activities, labeling, and loading/unloading.
- Maintain a professional image to clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions.
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (DOT/EPA/VES‑TS).
- Familiarize yourself with DOT, EPA, and VES‑TS regulations related to hazardous waste paperwork.
- Operate and maintain all equipment efficiently and effectively.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
- Strong team player.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Time‑management: ability to organize multiple deadlines.
- Strong customer‑service orientation.
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to follow through on assignments.
- 40‑hour HAZWOPER Certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous (H) endorsement.
Minimum $23.00 – Maximum $25.00 per hour.
