The basic function of this position is to professionally perform routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems and other fire safety product lines.
Responsibilities- Conduct routine tests and inspections, documenting deficiencies of fire alarm systems, fire safety systems, fire sprinkler systems, and other fire safety product lines according to prescribed processes.
- Verify proper operation; prepare accurate and timely documentation of work performed.
- Prepare inspection/deficiency reports for submission to management.
- Interface with service management to ensure all work is scheduled/handled.
- Interface with customers to explain work performed and answer their questions.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and a positive customer experience.
- Maintain and organize truck inventory (parts and tools) to meet customer needs.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Be detail-oriented.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of High School/Vocational training.
- Experience inspecting fire alarm products, wet and dry fire sprinkler systems, or industry-related experience.
- Proficiency in the use and application of personal computers.
- Familiarity with fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, policies, procedures, etc. presented in English.
- Must obtain NICET Level I in Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems and NICET Level I in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems within one (1) year.
- Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.

- Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
- Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color.
- Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.
- Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Work a full-time, flexible schedule with on‑call availability and must be able to travel on short notice.
- Drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
The budgeted pay range for this role as of November 2024 is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to tenure, previous experience, qualifications, certifications, and geographic considerations.
