What you’ll do Operate a variety of heavy equipment to excavate, move, and compact soil for remediation and construction prep Receive daily direction from your supervisor; close out assignments or take on new project instructions

Coordinate with craft workers, masons, and a mechanical foreman; pitch in where needed

Maintain clean, secure equipment and tools; clear hazardous and non-hazardous debris

Model safe work practices, including required PPE at all times

Coach field staff on tasks you know well and learn new techniques from coworkers

Must-haves

Heavy equipment operation: 5 years (Required)
Minimum 3 years of experience with heavy equipment

Site remediation experience with the ability to supervise an on-site crew Valid, clean New Jersey driver’s license (no points)
High school diploma or equivalent and English language fluency

Ability to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 100 pounds

Comfort working independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-havesNJ Class A CDL
40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER (or willingness to obtain) plus annual 8-hr refresherNJDEP UST Closure credential (Preferred but not required)
Relevant: 1 year (Preferred)
Heavy Equipment Operator: 5 years (Preferred) heavy equipment mechanic: 3 years (Preferred)
Pay and benefits

Full-time hourly role; overtime paid for time over 8 hours/day $35.00–$40.00 per hour, based on experience
