Software Development Manager

Seeking a hands-on Development Manager who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution.
This is a hybrid role, 2 days on site
. Initially, this person will work closely with business stakeholders to understand processes, identify inefficiencies, gather and validate requirements, and formulate practical solutions that improve automation, accuracy, and overall business performance. The ideal candidate has a strong software development background, understands the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), can read and write .Net, C#, SQL, and is capable of translating business requirements into functional and technical designs.

Candidates should be comfortable engaging with business users, developers, and IT leadership, with the ability to move between detailed technical discussions and broader business objectives. Experience designing and developing applications from the ground up, particularly in a small to midsize organization, is highly desirable.

The position is expected to evolve into a more traditional Development Manager role over time, with increasing responsibility for leading development efforts, managing priorities and delivery, guiding developers, and overseeing the implementation of technical solutions. Strong candidates may include current Development Managers, Senior Developers, or Technical Leads who combine hands-on technical expertise with business-facing communication, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities.
