WHITTENDALE EXCAVATING CORP is looking for a skilled Lowboy/Landoll Truck Driver to join our team in Mount Laurel, NJ! Responsibilities- Operate lowboy and Landoll trailers to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads to and from job sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe and compliant operation
- Safely load, secure, and unload heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, and compactors
- Plan and navigate routes for oversized/overweight loads, including obtaining necessary permits
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to meet delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate driver logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Proven experience operating lowboy and/or Landoll trailers
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements
- Experience hauling heavy construction equipment in an excavating or construction environment
- Ability to safely rig, chain, and secure oversized loads
- Familiarity with oversize/overweight load permitting processes
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
