Responsibilities
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods
- Experience with software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
- Jointly work with Supervisors and Management to meet warehouse metrics
- Interpersonal skills are essential, as working as a team is vital to maintaining an organized warehouse
- Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
- Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as a shipping coordinator is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventories
- Relevant customer service experience is a plus as shipping coordinator interact with customers to replace lost or damaged good
- Provide updates of orders and materials status as needed
- Reporting any damaged goods upon receipt to the corresponding parties
- Enforcing our Standard Operating Procedures and reporting any deviation on this process.
- Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements
- Arranging orders for the machine operators to pick based on urgency
- Ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner & coordinate pick up’s
- Coordinate with our yard jockey to take out empty/loaded trailer out of the docks
- Handling our parcel shipments (UPS) and providing tracking details.
- Reporting any discrepancies to his Supervisor/Manager, Inventory team and the production team (if applicable).
- Answering customer/carriers calls.
- Send detailed reports to peers of order shortages (e.g., what’s in stock, when we’ll have more in stock, and suggest similar items if applicable).
- Prepare detailed and accurate invoices to accompany shipments and ensure all items are packaged and shipped to company standards
- Perform other clerical duties as identified by the department manager.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
- Strong computer and mathematical skills required
- High School Diploma required or GED
- Frequent interaction with warehouse workers with daily tasks, good interpersonal skills required
- Multi-tasking required, must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience preferred
- Bilingual
- English/Spanish preferred - Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
- Must have good written and oral communication skills
Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations.
