Warehouse Packing Associate - PT Afternoon Shift

L&R is the largest distributor and the 6th largest purchaser of cosmetics in the United States. We now distribute over 40,000 items (cosmetics, toys, school supplies, hosiery, hair accessories, OTC, HBA and more) through 3 regional warehouse locations in Arkansas, New Jersey, Nevada. We have openings across multiple departments.

Shift
:
Monday through Friday 5pm to 9pm

Pay Rate
: $15.50/hour

Job Summary
:
The Packing Associate is responsible for packing items into their correct containers to prepare them for shipment using various packing supplies.

• Pack items following a specific set of instructions
• Check to ensure items are damage free
• Verify if items pulled out of package are correct
• Seal and label each container
• Move completed packages for shipping
• Review packing list for correct order and store number
• Recommend process changes to improve efficiency and eliminate errors
• Comply with all company safety rules
• Maintain excellent attendance
• Work as a team player
• Keep area clean and safe

This position is frequently supervised by the Warehouse Shift Supervisor.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Forklift Operations Certification is preferred (or experience with other warehouse equipment)
• OSHA Certification is preferred (but not required)

This position requires standing and light lifting (up to 50 pounds) for 80% of the day and stooping for 20% of the day.
