mistras group, inc. Is seeking an ndt technician level ii rt/mt/pt for a full‑time position in york, pa and new kensington, pa.

applicants must be able to provide the following documents:

  • high school diploma/ged/degree
  • proof of classroom hours/training in ndt
  • previous level ii certifications/ojt
major responsibilities
  • set up and calibrate equipment
  • conduct tests with appropriate ndt technique(s)
  • interpret, evaluate and document
  • must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and capable of directing the work of trainees and level i
  • must be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the
  • work with minimal supervision
  • identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • obtain and analyze information
  • edit and present numerical data effectively
  • travel may be required (less than 20%)
minimum requirements
  • high school graduate or equivalent required.
  • ndt technician level ii rt/mt/pt
  • industrial radiographers certification card preferred. (required for all hired as a radiographer).
  • completion of an eighty (80) hour radiation safety course (level i & level ii. (required for all hired as a radiographer).
  • graduate of a specialized ndt technical program meeting snt‑tc1a for the following is required: mt/pt

working conditions
  • field duties require outdoor work in a plant
  • interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and other personnel
  • working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise
  • may be at more than one jobsite in a day and must be able to tolerate climate
  • may be required to travel out of town on a periodically
essential physical functions
  • must be physically fit and able to carry 50 lbs.
  • must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personnel
