Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T2028) role  starting hourly rate is $17.25 USD per hour. Pay range: $17.25 USD - $25.90 USD per hour.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to create a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve concerns
• Adapting to different guest interactions and situations
• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve specific needs
• Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Explain benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards
• Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Help guests use Target App features, including Wallet
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering, and guide guests on enrollment and use
• Handle returns per policy; collaborate with leaders to resolve guest concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and manage stock during store hours
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Work safely; report hazards and address them when possible
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders, and related compliance requirements
• All other duties based on business needs

Training is provided. Required skills include effective communication, a welcoming attitude, attention to detail, ability to educate guests about products and services, and ability to operate handheld scanners and other equipment. You should be able to work independently and in a team, stay composed in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple tasks.

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible schedule and reliable attendance; maintain mobility during shift
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions depending on duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
