Chess Wizards, Inc is seeking enthusiastic, reliable instructors for our after-school enrichment program. • Competitive Pay: $45–$65 per class (typical class time ~1 hour 30 minutes)

  Hours:
  
  Teach a minimum of 1 up to a maximum of 5 classes per week, scheduled weekdays 2:00–5:00 PM at local schools
• Travel Compensation:
  Mileage reimbursement for trips over 15 miles one way

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students
• Use the structured curriculum to teach fundamentals and promote sportsmanship
• Manage a lively classroom with confidence and positivity
• Encourage problem‑solving, creativity, and critical thinking
• Follow school safety protocols during arrival, dismissal, and in‑class activities
• Travel to various local school sites for each session
• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to engage students

• Experience working with groups of children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, etc.)
• Comfort leading a class independently and creating engaging, friendly sessions
• Professional, positive, and kid‑friendly demeanor
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals and ability to explain concepts age‑appropriately
• Ability to connect chess problem‑solving to real‑life problem‑solving
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to drive between locations
• Availability weekday afternoons (2:00–5:00 PM) for 1–5 classes per week
• Commitment to school safety protocols and strict adherence to policies
• Strong punctuality and time‑management skills

• Resume detailing relevant experience with children in educational, recreational, or mentoring settings
• Questionnaire related to interest, experience working with children, and qualifications to teach chess

Location Requirement: Must be currently residing in New Lenox, IL or willing to relocate at own expense. Relocation assistance not provided.
