Job Description
** Position Summary**:
Greets, instructs, directs, schedules, registers, and performs check-in duties for patients. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff. Responsible for coordinating all after-visit activities including: collection, review and update of all practice-specific forms, communicating of payment policies regarding amounts due for current services and prior balances, collection of payments, assistance with scheduling follow-up appointments and procedures.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Perform registration, check-in, and check-out for patient visits
* Schedule follow-up visits, including labs, imaging, and other diagnostic testing
* Collect co-pays
* Call patients for notification of schedule changes
** Requirements:
*** Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers.
* Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to use independent thinking, sound judgement, and creativity when resolving customer issues.
* Ability to balance priorities and effectively handle challenging situations.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Comfort with computer technology and applications.

* Education:

*** High school diploma or GED required.

* Experience:

Previous health-care experience strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of insurance preferred
