Summary:

A clinically competent professional who works collaboratively with RNs and physicians in the cardiology and radiology angiography suites to provide radiologic assistance for procedures.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Scrub and assist physicians during diagnostic/interventional angiographic procedures.
* Operates angiographic equipment to obtain and optimize diagnostic imaging.
* Responsible for sterile table set-up for specific angiographic/implant procedures.
* Competent to scrub procedures 1 to 2 of the following specialties:
Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Structural Heart, or Interventional Neuro-Radiology.
* Competency is determined by the successful completion of department orientation and contingent on team leader and management approval.
** Required Qualifications**:
** Education and Training**:
* Valid Illinois RT license, ARRT and IEMA certifications required.
* CPR required. ACLS within 6 months of hire.
* Previous radiology experience required.
* Previously Interventional Cardiology, Radiology, or Neuro-Radiology strongly preferred.
* Must be able to take 8-10 days of call for emergent procedures per month.
* Must be able to arrive to the hospital within 30 minutes of being notified.
