Metro Infectious Disease Consultants is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy at the clinic located in New Lenox, IL
.
Schedule: Monday – Friday

- Place peripheral lines (peripherally inserted central catheter) for new patients, teach infusion patients how to self‑administer medications, and document in Medical Records.
- Review and chart daily laboratory results, passing information to physicians and/or patients as needed.
- E‑prescribe prescriptions at doctor's order and communicate to pharmacies.
- Receive and return patient and other telephone calls.
- Review EMR charts for next day's appointments, ordering laboratory results, consult reports or notes as necessary and document all required fields within EMR to be eligible for meaningful use.
- Respond to telephone calls, meet patients in the office and schedule patients to come to the office as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested.
- Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient‑care needs, establishing priorities.
- Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
- Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the facility.
- Support professional practice by observing the following:
1) Standards of Nursing Practice;
2) JCAHO, state and local laws;
3) MIDC policy. - Other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current IL RN license.
- At least 2 years RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion‑related practice.
- Infusion experience.
- Chemo experience preferred, but not required.
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients: measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID‑19.

- $100,000‑$120,000 ($30/hour + monthly bonus)
