• Plan and execute appropriate early‑childhood education experiences for children.
• Develop and implement age‑appropriate curriculum with the director and teachers.
• Create a program environment that promotes positive interactions among children, youth and adults.
• Assist with activities, monitor children in classroom and outdoor areas, and maintain safety and control of all children.
• Maintain program participation data and complete required daily reports.
• Assist with arrangements of indoor and outdoor activity areas, snack/meal service, and daily scheduling.
• Use approved child guidance and youth development techniques when interacting with children and parents.

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English.
• One year of general experience working with children in a group program setting.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs, sit and rise from the floor, walk, bend, stoop and stand on a routine basis; able to work both indoors and outdoors.
• Pass Tier 1 background investigation and Civilian Medical Clearance Examination, renewed annually as required.

Preferred qualifications (in addition to the minimum):

• Two (2) years of post‑secondary education in early childhood/elementary/secondary/special education, child/youth development, psychology, human development, youth program administration, or related behavioral sciences; or one (1)‑year vocational certificate in childcare.
