OverviewThe Client is seeking highly qualified Academic Deans to lead its three schools:
School of Leadership and Management
School of Engineering and Cyber Systems
School of Science, Mathematics, and the Humanities
Responsibilities- Each Dean will serve as the academic and administrative leader of their respective school, ensuring academic excellence, supporting cadet development, and advancing the Academy’s mission through strategic leadership, faculty engagement, and accreditation compliance.
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the school in alignment with the Academy’s mission and goals.
- Oversee curriculum development, accreditation standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain high-quality faculty while fostering a collaborative academic environment.
- Ensure effective role-based governance and academic program management.
- Promote research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration within and across schools.
- Represent the school in Academy-wide leadership discussions and external academic forums.
- Manage budgets, resources, and personnel to support academic operations.
- Uphold diversity, equity, and inclusion in faculty recruitment and student engagement.
- Support cadet education, leadership development, and preparation for service.
- Education: Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
- Experience:
- Demonstrated record of academic leadership at the level of Dean, Associate Dean, Department Chair, or equivalent.
- Strong background in teaching, scholarship, and academic governance.
- Experience with program accreditation and curriculum oversight.
- Strategic leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Strong knowledge of academic standards, assessment, and faculty development.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to fostering inclusive excellence and diverse learning environments.
