  • Oversee and manage daily operations of the out of school programs and activities at building site.
  • Monitor staffing hours, timesheets.
  • Oversee and implement enrichment activities in collaboration with site staff.
  • Contribute to and distribute monthly newsletter to families.
  • Establish, build, and maintain positive relationships with building principal, teachers, students, and families.
  • Ensure that program operations are consistent with District policies, including emergencies, accidents, incidents, and personnel policies.
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings as directed by District Coordinator.
  • Assist in OST program promotion and staff recruitment.
  • Update Family  needed for program registration and train staff to access data needed.
  • Acquire appropriate and adequate materials and resources for program site in collaboration with District Coordinator.
  • Maintain inventory records of program supplies and equipment in collaboration with staff.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and student sign out sheets.
  • Consult with District Coordinator regarding student entry/exit from program.
  • Monitor and address student behavior in collaboration with District Coordinator and Principal.
  • Communicate regularly with parents via email, phone and/or during dismissal time.
  • Attend professional development, staff meetings and training workshops as necessary.
  • Assume such other functions as may be determined.

  • Attend all 21st CCLC networking meetings.
  • Associate degree.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products, including strong skills with Word and Excel
  • Experience with out of school programming and activities preferred
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable

    PERFORMANCE EVALUATION:Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of certified staff

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Hourly rate; this is a part-time position that operates during the school year only

    PRIMARY FUNCTION: To oversee a program site for New London Public Schools. The Site Coordinator will direct, manage, and oversee the daily operations of the after-school program.
