To support the classroom teacher in providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that nurtures the academic and social‑emotional development of young learners in a diverse, internationally‑minded school community.

• Support the implementation of developmentally appropriate learning activities that align with early childhood education best practices and international education themes.
• Assist with the preparation, organization, distribution, and clean‑up of classroom materials and learning centers.
• Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group support to students to reinforce learning and promote independence.
• Encourage positive behavior, social‑emotional growth, and respectful interactions among students.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with transitions, routines, and classroom management throughout the school day.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, including training related to early childhood education, cultural competence, and the international frameworks.
• Support the school’s commitment to multilingualism, global citizenship, and inquiry‑based learning.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher, principal, or designee.

• Associate’s degree, minimum of 60 college credits, or successful completion of the Para Pro Assessment (or equivalent).
• Experience or interest in working with early childhood or elementary‑age children.
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff, and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and globally aware classroom environment.
• Additional qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board of Education.
