The New London Public Schools Magnet District is seeking passionate and innovative Science Teachers to join our dynamic secondary education team. With multiple openings across our middle and high school magnet programs, this is an exciting opportunity to inspire curiosity, spark scientific inquiry, and empower students to explore the world through hands-on learning and discovery.

What You'll Do

As a Science Teacher, you will:

* Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based science lessons aligned with district and state curricula

* Design hands-on, inquiry-based learning experiences that promote critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving

* Integrate technology, lab activities, and cross-disciplinary projects to deepen scientific understanding

* Assess and monitor student progress, offering timely feedback and individualized support

* Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and families to create a positive, inclusive, and rigorous academic environment

We're Looking For

* Educators who are enthusiastic about science and deeply committed to student success

* Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills

* Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners

* Connecticut State Certification in Science or eligibility for certification in Biology, Chemistry, General Science, or a related field

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Education

* Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Science

* Strong communication and classroom management skills
