We are seeking a facility maintenance/plumbing systems technician for our client site in Groton, CT. The successful candidate will have outstanding skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best‑in‑class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.
Hiring Salary Range: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour (salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant and internal equity, and alignment with market data).

The work schedule for this role is Monday‑Friday, 2:30 PM to 11 PM; however, various hours may be required based on business demand.
ResponsibilitiesAs a facility maintenance/plumbing systems technician, you will be responsible for daily support activities, including:
- Providing advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventative and predictive maintenance to general facilities systems equipment to include but not limited to plumbing, mechanical equipment, pumps, piping, backflows, drains, and other equipment as directed.
- Repairing maintenance and mechanical building systems including but not limited to chilled water, reheat, potable and non‑potable, hot water distribution and specific components, distilled water & reverse osmosis systems, lab gas systems, high & low vacuum systems, instrument air compressors and dryers, waste discharge systems consisting of effluent, lab waste, storm and sewage.
- Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Performing periodic maintenance on backflow prev enters, eyewash/safety showers, and water filtration systems.
- General understanding of lock‑out/tag‑out procedures and application.
- Responding to work orders associated with building equipment.
- Inspecting major equipment and/or operating systems and taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Operating hand tools including grinders, saws, impact wrenches, standard wrenches, drills, and similar instruments.
- Ensuring all appropriate mechanical operations, standards, controls, and specifications are maintained at a high level of quality. Systems/equipment to include pumps, fans, heat exchangers, and associated valves, etc.
- Assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Installing and repairing bathroom plumbing fixtures.
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial facility mechanical systems, facility equipment and systems.
- Performing preventive and predictive maintenance inspections and actions such as water filtration systems.
- Performing pipe‑fitting repairs.
- Working within the context of a team and at times with minimal supervision.
- Ensuring excellent customer service and a safe work environment.
- Complying with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
