American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring current Medical-Surgical and PCU/Stepdown experience plus charge nurse experience.

• Medical Surgical unit in a critical access hospital setting
• Patient ratio of up to 6:1, supported by LNAs, a Nurse Lead, and a House Supervisor
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
• No on-call requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum 3 years of current Medical-Surgical experience required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Charge nurse experience required
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Medical-Surgical and Stepdown/PCU skills checklists current within 1 year required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required

• Integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement nursing standards in the processes of care
• Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled:
  Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted, and all RTO must be submitted upfront as requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
• Block scheduling is not available for this position
• Local candidates are not eligible for this position
