Child Care Provider

Overview

Child Care Provider role at Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) to support children ages birth to eight through the Office of Learning and Academic Opportunity (OLAO).

Supervise and monitor safety of children; organize mealtimes, snacks; develop schedules and routines for physical activity, rest, playtime; provide materials for learning and imaginative play; facilitate problem‑solving.

• High School diploma or GED
• 45‑hour early childhood course or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment
• Minimum 1 year experience working with young children in an early childhood setting, babysitting, or a public‑school setting no higher than elementary school
• First Aid/CPR certified and Food Hander’s certification or willing to obtain within first 6 months of employment
• Health determination/TB skin test and fingerprint background check prior to employment
• Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred
• Driver’s license proof of insurance preferred
