Dental Hygenist - Zuni, NM

Pay Rate: $38/hr

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours weekly)

Contract Duration: 52 weeks

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join a team in Zuni, New Mexico. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing preventive dental care to patients and promoting good oral health practices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform oral health assessments and screenings.
• Conduct thorough dental cleanings to remove plaque, calculus, and stains.
• Take and develop dental X-rays.
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized recommendations.
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures.
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records.
• Maintain and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of New Mexico.
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• Current CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification.
• Proficient in taking and developing dental X-rays.
• Strong knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and sterilization techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to educate and motivate patients to maintain good oral health.
