Count Your Blessings Preschool is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable After school Teacher to join our team. This position supports school-age children during after school hours by providing a safe, engaging, and structured environment that promotes learning, creativity, and positive social development.

The After school Teacher plays a key role in guiding children through transitions from the school day, supporting homework time, leading enrichment activities, and maintaining a nurturing atmosphere aligned with our mission and values.

Part-time position

Typical hours:
Monday–Friday, afternoon hours (exact schedule may vary)

Year‑round program following the preschool calendar

• Supervise and engage school‑age children in a safe and developmentally appropriate manner.
• Support homework completion and provide academic encouragement as needed.
• Plan and lead age‑appropriate activities including art, games, outdoor play, and group projects.
• Maintain consistent routines and positive behavior guidance strategies.
• Ensure children are signed in and out according to licensing and program procedures.
• Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding daily activities and child progress.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom and outdoor environment.
• Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety guidelines, and Count Your Blessings Preschool policies.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education or child development preferred.
• Experience working with school‑age children in a childcare, after school, or educational setting preferred.
• Ability to manage a group of children with patience, consistency, and positive guidance.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Must meet all state childcare licensing requirements, including background checks.
