The UNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty to teach Chicano/a Studies courses. This will be a Fall 2026 recruitment.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia county, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With an emphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transfer programs, technical vocational programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses to Valencia and Socorro.

• Master's
  degree in Chicano/a Studies or related field

• At
  least one year of experience teaching at a post-secondary institution
• Experience
  and/or certification to teach online
• A
  demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university's mission to serve local and global communities

Applicants who are appointed to a UNM faculty position are required to provide an official certification of successful completion of all degree requirements prior to their initial employment with UNM.
