Utility Operator Level II Water & Level III Wastewater

Overview

The Reserve WWTF is an extended aeration and activated sludge facility. Reserve Water Works is a chlorinated groundwater system with ~260 meters.

• New Mexico Wastewater Level 3 & Water Level 2 certifications required.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid Driver License.
• Must have knowledge or experience operating an extended aeration and activated sludge wastewater treatment plant utilizing headworks fine screen and UV Disenfection.
• Must have experience with NPDES permitting and submitting electronic DMRs.
• Must have experience operating a water system and mixing Calcium Hypochlorite.
• Must be willing to be “on call” after hours and rotate holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to collect water samples and prepare/submit all regulatory reports.
• Must have general equipment maintenance experience.
• Perform both Water System and Wastewater System Operations & Maintenance duties.
• Must have experience with excavation work and be able to operate heavy equipment such as a backhoe.
• Must be willing to repair leaks and sewer clogs and perform new water taps, experience with sewer jetter and vac-trailer desired.
• Must have solid computer skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Willingness to perform public works maintenance including patching potholes, plowing snow and cleaning out drainage ways and other duties when assigned and within reason.
