Senior Scheduler/Project Controls Specialist

PM is seeking a skilled Scheduler to support nuclear energy projects. In this role, you will work closely with project managers and technical leads to develop and maintain detailed project schedules that ensure alignment with project execution plans. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the nuclear sector, is proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel, and has a strong understanding of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and related metrics.
You will integrate procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities into a comprehensive master schedule and help keep projects on track through thorough schedule analysis and reporting.
- Schedule Development: Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in coordination with project managers and technical leads.
- WBS & Coding: Establish and comply with the project’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and coding conventions as defined in execution plans.
- Master Schedule Integration: Integrate procurement, construction, commissioning, and readiness activities into a master project schedule to ensure all project phases are properly sequenced.
- Analysis & Optimization: Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis, and float analysis to identify and resolve potential schedule issues.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor project progress and report variances from the baseline schedule using Earned Value (EV) metrics and schedule performance indices.
- Reporting: Provide regular schedule updates, look-ahead reports, and delay impact analyses to project stakeholders.
- Change Support: Support the evaluation of claims, change requests, and extension-of-time assessments by providing schedule impact analyses and documentation.
- Minimum of 8 years Scheduling/Project Controls experience on Nuclear projects
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must have experience with Primavera P6, Excel, and Earned Value management
- Bachelors Degree in a related field (can be substituted with additional work experience).
- Must be willing to work on-site in Eunice, NM for extended periods of time.
