My client, a well-established property & casualty insurer serving specialized industries, is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriting Associate to join their commercial lines team. This role supports policy processing and rating functions across new business, renewals, and endorsements.
What You'll Do- Process and review commercial insurance transactions using internal systems.
- Ensure accuracy of policy data and rating inputs.
- Collaborate with underwriting staff to resolve application and coverage issues.
- Calculate premiums for endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans.
- Maintain working knowledge of ISO, NCCI, and other regulatory manuals.
- Prior experience in commercial P&C insurance operations preferred, or a related educational background.
- Familiarity with rating systems and insurance documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ISO/NCCI tools a plus.
