Under general supervision of the Town Manager, employee coordinates and maintains town Recreational programs, events, and services; seeks out and develops programs and projects to create, support, enhance and provide recreational opportunities of all ages for the public. This position works closely with the Parks and Recreational Advisory Board.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Required Knowledge and Skills- Knowledge of the principles and practices of Parks & Recreation planning, and program development, practices, and requirements.
- Knowledge of Town of Edgewood ordinances, policies and procedures, and administrative requirements.
- Knowledgeofthe Townof Edgewoodgeographyincludingroadsandstreets , agricultural, residential, and commercial districts.
- Skill in locating,identifying,and managing grantapplication processes,and grants.
- Experienceinthemaintenanceandoperationsof Recreationfacilities and equipment.
- Skillandabilitytoworkwellunderpressureofdeadlines.
- Skillincommunicatingeffectivelyorallyandinthedevelopmentofwrittendocuments, reports, and financial information.
- Skillinoperatingapersonalcomputerandsoftwareapplications,including
Adobe, Publisher,Googleand Excel,andMSWordproducts.
- Associate degree in Recreation Manage mentor related discipline, or Two (2) years of directly related work experience may be substituted for an Associate degree.
- Two years of experience in Recreation programs and event planning coordination.
- Possessionofavalid Stateof New Mexico Driver 'slicense.
- Must be bondable and insurable.
- Indoordutiesareperformedinatemperature-controlled environment,performed on an even surface which may be carpeted or tiled. The working surface is typically dry.
- Employee is exposed to natural weather conditions while performing outdoor duties. Outdoordutiesmaybe performed onbothevenandunevensurfaces.
Surfacesmaybe inclined or flat and range from dirt, gravel, asphalt, or concrete. - Work requires regularandpunctualattendance as well as attendance at meetings and special events outside the normal work schedule.
- Subjecttostanding,walking,sitting,bending,reaching,kneeling,drivingandlifting objects up to 40 pounds.
