Summary of Position:

The Language School Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of duties and will be under the supervision of the Language Manager. The incumbent will be required to provide liaison services to tribal families and school districts of Santo Domingo, Albuquerque, Bernalillo, and Santa Fe assisting and advocating for tribal members with needs and barriers affecting academic success. The incumbent will also provide assistance to the Language Manager and work closely with the Language Coordinator/Program Assistant and other staff within the department.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a school setting.
  • Must be proficient speaking and understanding the Kewa Keres Language.
  • NM/Santo Domingo Pueblo’s Bilingual/Biliteracy Seal of Excellence certification is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work extended working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.
  • Must pass a drug/alcohol, motor vehicle check; and pass a background, and fingerprint check.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass all required background checks required by each school district served.
