Full-time Dental Hygienist
Overview
:
We are currently looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. The candidate should have a strong work ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed.
- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
- Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; examine gums, and use probes to locate periodontal disease and assess recession levels
- Select materials and equipment for the dental hygiene visit by evaluating the patients oral health
- Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative guidance
- Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts

- Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

- Associates degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
- Available to work within current office hours; specific shifts to be determined
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Second Saturday of the month: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Dental office experience
- Experience with Dentrix Ascend software
Salary
:
Up to $135,000 per year
