Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, career-minded PGA Associate or newly Class A Professional who is passionate about playing, teaching, and supporting a well-rounded golf operation. The Assistant Golf Professional will be highly visible, member-facing, and integral to the daily golf experience at the Club. The ideal candidate enjoys tournament operations, junior golf, instruction, and interacting with members positively and energetically.
This is a great fit for a young professional who wants to grow their game, learn under an experienced Head Golf Professional, and gain experience for future advancement.
- PGA Associate or Class A Member preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Golf Genius.
- Passion for teaching, junior golf, and member engagement.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Desire to play competitively and improve professionally.
- Reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with all day-to-day golf operations, providing outstanding service to members and guests.
- Lead tournament operations using Golf Genius, to include: pairings, scoring, communications, and event execution.
- Oversee and run Men's, Women's, and Junior events as assigned.
- Support tee sheet management, pace of play, and general golf shop responsibilities (limited merchandising duties).
- Maintain a high level of professionalism while being visible and engaged on the tee, range, and golf course.
- Assist with communication, basic reporting, and event documentation.
- Teach private lessons (on and off-clock)
- Lead all clinics, junior programs, and camps
- Recruit participants to grow junior and adult development programs.
- Help elevate the overall instruction culture at the Club.
- Actively play with members and represent the Club in Pro-Ams and individual tournaments.
- Maintain a commitment to personal game development.
COMPENSATION:
- 100% of Lesson/Clinic income (estimated $15,000-$30,000 per season)
- Meals provided while on duty
- Playing privileges and support for tournaments and Pro-Ams
- Clothing allowance provided by the Head Golf Professional
- PGA dues paid by the Club
- Health Care benefits per Club Policy
