Job Description & How to Apply Below
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and help drive projects from pre-contract through to final account. If you’re commercially sharp, good with people, and like being hands-on with projects, this could be right up your street.

What you’ll be doing

* Comparing subcontractor prices and working with the Contracts Manager to pick the best fit for each job

* Keeping tight control of project costs to protect (and improve) margins

* Valuing and certifying subcontract works, checking invoices, and managing payments

* Producing valuations and applications for payment, including raising client invoices

* Spotting value engineering opportunities to improve margin, programme, and reduce risk

* Managing cost reporting, forecasting, CVRs, and cashflow

* Attending site meetings, managing variations, and making sure changes are properly agreed

* Applying the terms of the main contract correctly, including notices and confirmations

* Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors

* Reviewing processes and ways of working to keep improving how we do things

* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team

What we’re looking for

* Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar)

* RICS accreditation (or working towards it)

* Solid experience in pre-contracts or as a QS / Contracts Manager, ideally within commercial design & build or fit-out

* Strong cost planning and value engineering experience

* Good working knowledge of construction, M&E, and JCT contracts

* A proven track record of delivering profitable projects

* Confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness

* Organised, detail-focused, and great with numbers

* A problem-solver who’s creative and practical

* Comfortable communicating with people at all levels

* Good understanding of HSE regulations and building legislation

* Full (ideally clean) driving licence

* Confident using Microsoft Office 365

Why join us?

You’ll be part of a supportive, driven team working on interesting projects, with real input into commercial decisions and the chance to make a genuine impact on performance and profitability
