We are recruiting for a leading manufacturer specialising in Springs & Pressings, and we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their dynamic team as a Trainee Pressings Manufacturing Operative. - Early finish on Fridays, with working hours as follows:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:40 - 16:25
- Friday: 07:40 - 12:10
- Assist in the pressings manufacturing process, including the setting of power presses operating progression press tools.
- Shadow experienced team members and learn the intricacies of machine operation and maintenance.
- Perform machine minding tasks to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of ear defenders in the work environment.
- Participate in regular training sessions and appraisals to develop skills and progress within the role.
- No prior experience is required, although a background in engineering or manufacturing would be advantageous.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high‑quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Begin the day by preparing and setting up power presses for production.
- Shadow experienced operators to gain hands‑on experience and knowledge of the manufacturing process.
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure optimal performance and address any issues under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all company protocols.
- Engage in one‑to‑one training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
